Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Berlin, Maryland, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safety and satisfaction while driving sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes proactively in-store, phone, and online; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Act as training expert for store associates, recognize sales contributions, and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets immediately, recommend merchandise, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Must excel in communication, organization, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment. Flexible scheduling required.
