Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. Based in Bluffton, South Carolina, this role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer education, and sales to promote our proven training curriculum. Ideal for animal lovers with retail experience who thrive in dynamic settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, ensure a safe and clean training area, and handle sick/injured pets.
• Serve as subject matter expert, training associates and recommending merchandise/services.
• Assist in other departments, participate in Belonging initiatives, and adhere to company policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Depth perception and composure under pressure essential.
