Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
• Recommend merchandise/services, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computer apps, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs are essential. Exposure to pets, moderate noise, and wet environments is common.
