Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, and values. You'll actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success in Brooklyn, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Recognize associates and participate in our culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
