Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Burlington store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to excel in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs, handling animals, and moderate noise exposure.
