Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. You'll be the go-to expert in your store, ensuring safe, fun experiences that build lifelong pet bonds. Key Responsibilities

• Lead group and private training sessions, managing pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively promote and sell training packages while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate records, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, collaborate across departments, and recognize team sales efforts.
• Uphold company policies, foster a culture of belonging, and recommend merchandise/services.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-facing retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. You must thrive under pressure, stay organized, and lift up to 50lbs in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
