Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Calgary, Alberta, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors like you educate on our curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safe, fun environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas.
- Recognize associate contributions and handle sick/injured pets decisively.
- Cross-train associates as pet training expert and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and lifting up to 50lbs in a pet-filled environment.
