Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and upholds our vision of enriching pet lives. You'll actively promote and sell our curriculum while ensuring safety and cleanliness in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
- Create safe environments for classes; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
- Clean training areas, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
