Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while fostering a welcoming store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and cleanliness standards.
- Create safe environments for classes; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vets as needed.
- Recognize associates for training sales contributions and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and animal exposure in a dynamic retail setting.
