Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. You'll uphold our vision by educating on training benefits, selling classes across channels, and ensuring safe, clean environments. This role demands flexibility, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail setting with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions via phone, in-person, or online while managing pet parent experiences and concerns.
• Actively sell and schedule classes, educating on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and store as subject matter expert.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness in training areas; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
