Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and their pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and sell our comprehensive pet training curriculum, ensuring safe, fun classes that build lasting bonds between pets and owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, addressing concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training-related paperwork and scheduling per company standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe training area and respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

We're seeking candidates with 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, accreditation in the PetSmart Training Instructor Course, computer proficiency, and strong communication skills. Must handle pressure, stay organized, and be available evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
