Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training services, engages pet parents, and upholds our vision of positive pet experiences. You'll educate on our proven curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safety in a dynamic retail environment. This role demands flexibility, pet passion, and customer focus in our Casselberry store.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively promote and sell training classes across channels; educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain records, schedule sessions, and keep training areas clean and safe.
• Recognize sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed, and cross-sell merchandise/services.
• Train associates as local expert and support other departments while following all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair environment.
