Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and act as the store's training expert, working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pet training sessions, managing pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively promote and sell training programs while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and recognize team sales efforts.
• Ensure a clean, safe training area and respond to pet health emergencies.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and uphold company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs are essential. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet environments is common.
