Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services using our proven curriculum, engages pet parents, and drives sales of training programs. This role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer education, and store collaboration to ensure positive outcomes for pets and people alike. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training classes over phone, in-person, or online while prioritizing pet parent experience and outcomes.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes, educating on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness of training areas, and all related paperwork.
• Serve as pet training expert for store associates, recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, pet handling in a moderate-noise environment with live animals.
