Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our comprehensive pet training programs. This role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer education, and store collaboration to ensure safe, fun experiences for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training sessions over phone, in-person, or online while prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, collaborate across departments, and recognize team contributions.
• Follow all company policies, ensuring compliance and participation in our culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
