Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, upholds company values, and drives pet parent engagement. You'll educate on training benefits, conduct classes per curriculum, ensure safety, and contribute to store success through sales and teamwork in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to manage experiences and concerns.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while promoting curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas; handle sick/injured pets.
• Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
