Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Chicago, IL, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering expert training per PetSmart's curriculum. Uphold our vision while selling classes, ensuring safety, and fostering positive experiences both in-person and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, clean training areas, and create safe environments for pets and people.
- Recognize associate contributions, handle pet emergencies, and cross-train team as subject matter expert.
- Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and physical demands like lifting 50lbs+ amid pets and moderate noise.
