Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Chilliwack, British Columbia, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and education. This role demands flexibility, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
- Recognize associates and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling essential.
