Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions while managing pet parent interactions and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell group/private classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate records, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend services/merchandise, and support other departments.
• Foster team recognition and adherence to company policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-facing retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must thrive under pressure, stay organized, and flex for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise setting.
