Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. You'll proactively educate on training benefits, sell classes across channels, ensure safety, and contribute to store success in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/safe.
• Educate associates as the local pet training expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, animal exposure, and moderate noise.
