Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, and values. You'll proactively educate on training benefits, conduct classes per curriculum, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes across channels and recommend merchandise/services.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and educate associates as SME.
• Ensure safety in training areas, respond to sick/injured pets (including vet transport), and assist other departments.
• Uphold cleanliness, participate in recognition culture, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
