Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments that build lasting customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across all channels.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Serve as subject matter expert, training associates and recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise/services, and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow all policies, participate in Belonging & Recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing/walking, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
