Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Commack, New York, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive outcomes via in-person, phone, or online interactions. Be the local expert fostering belonging and recognition.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences, resolving concerns promptly.
- Sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safe environments.
- Educate associates and recommend merchandise/services.
- Handle sick/injured pets and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store setting.
