Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. Based in Commerce Township, Michigan, you'll actively promote classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success through education and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
