Role Overview

PetSmart Pet Trainers deliver positive reinforcement-based training classes, engage pet parents, and drive sales of our proven curriculum. This dynamic role combines animal expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun retail environment. Ensure safe, clean training spaces and collaborate across departments to uphold our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions while managing pet parent experiences and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell group/private classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training records, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas spotless.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Serve as training expert, recognizing team sales efforts and fostering a safe store environment.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, bending, and exposure to pets/noise.
