Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Conway, South Carolina, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive reinforcement training via PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while fostering exceptional experiences. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to educate and inspire.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training classes, managing pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
- Proactively sell and schedule classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and support store teams.
- Recognize associates and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and thrive in pet-filled environments with moderate noise. Strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential.
