Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll actively promote and sell our curriculum-driven programs, ensure safety, and contribute to a welcoming store environment in our Cornwall location.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Keep training areas clean, safe, and presentable; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
• Train store associates on pet training, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.
• Participate in our culture of belonging, recognition, and policy adherence.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and accreditation from the PetSmart Training Instructor Course. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
