Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Covington, Louisiana, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
- Ensure safe, clean training areas and respond to sick/injured pets.
- Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic environment.
