Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, by phone, or online, selling classes and ensuring safe, fun environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training classes following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
- Actively promote and sell training services across channels; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets promptly, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Serve as training expert, recognizing associates and fostering team culture.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, animal exposure, and moderate noise.
