Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. You'll uphold our vision by educating on training benefits, selling classes, and ensuring safe, fun experiences in our Dallas, Texas store. This role combines pet expertise, customer service, and sales in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes via phone, in-person, or online while managing pet parent interactions and concerns.
• Actively promote and sell training programs, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and store areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Serve as training expert for associates, recognize contributions, and assist other departments.
• Handle pet emergencies, recommend merchandise, and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment.
