Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll proactively educate on training benefits and provide services via our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments in our Dartmouth store.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pet parent experiences over phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain all training paperwork and store cleanliness.
- Serve as subject matter expert, educating associates and recognizing sales efforts.
- Ensure safety, handle sick/injured pets, and recommend merchandise/services.
- Assist other departments and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
