Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. Engage pet parents in-store, by phone, or online to sell classes, educate on benefits, and ensure safety. Act as the store's training expert while contributing to team success and pet well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes, managing pet parent experiences and outcomes across channels.
• Actively sell and schedule classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas.
• Handle sick/injured pets, transport to vets if needed, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Recognize associates, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate noise/wet environments.
