Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets to deliver exceptional training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, and values. You'll educate on training benefits, conduct classes via phone, in-person, or online, and ensure safety while driving sales and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences, respond to concerns, and sell training classes across channels.
- Educate on curriculum benefits, maintain paperwork, and schedule classes per company standards.
- Create safe, clean training environments; handle sick/injured pets and transport as needed.
- Act as training expert for associates, recognize contributions, and assist other departments.
- Follow policies, recommend merchandise, and participate in our culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping, and exposure to pets/noise.
