Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This role combines pet expertise, customer engagement, and retail operations in a dynamic store setting, ensuring safe, positive outcomes for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training classes, manage pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
- Actively sell classes and merchandise while promoting curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean/safe training environment.
- Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.
- Uphold company policies and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to pets/noise.
