Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Dulles, Virginia, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize contributions, and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets immediately, recommend merchandise, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling required.
