Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. Based in Duluth, GA, you'll ensure safe, fun experiences while upholding our mission to do Anything for Pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions with focus on pet parent satisfaction.
- Actively promote and sell group/private classes to boost enrollment.
- Maintain accurate records, clean training areas, and ensure store-wide safety.
- Handle sick/injured pets promptly and collaborate across departments.
- Educate associates as the local pet training expert and foster a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, stand for shifts, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include handling live animals in a dynamic pet retail environment.
