Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Trainers in Eagan, Minnesota, deliver exceptional training experiences for pets and parents. You'll engage customers, sell classes, and uphold our vision using proven curriculum. This dynamic role combines education, sales, safety, and teamwork in a pet-loving environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Proactively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain records, ensure clean/safe training areas, and handle pet emergencies including vet transport.
- Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize contributions, and cross-assist departments.
- Recommend merchandise/services and participate in company culture initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational skills essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
