Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in our Edmonton, Alberta store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors like you educate on our curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safe, fun environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/presentable.
- Educate associates as pet training expert and recognize contributions.
- Ensure safety, handle sick/injured pets, and recommend services/merchandise.
- Assist other departments and follow company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and pet exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
