Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in El Centro, California, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize their sales efforts.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in moderate-noise environment.
