Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in El Paso, this role involves in-person, phone, and online interactions to promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents to sell and deliver training classes across channels.
• Maintain paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas.
• Handle pet parent concerns, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Ensure safety by addressing sick/injured pets and creating secure class spaces.
• Educate associates as the pet training expert and participate in our Belonging culture.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and accreditation from the PetSmart Training Instructor Course. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
