Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in our El Paso, Texas store, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell our proven curriculum, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This role suits animal enthusiasts with retail experience ready to flex their training expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pet training classes, managing pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
• Drive sales by educating on training benefits and recommending merchandise/services.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, including vet transport if needed.
• Train associates as the pet training expert and assist other departments as required.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Must excel in communication, organization, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays essential.
