Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales while upholding our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that build pet-parent bonds.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain training areas, paperwork, and safety protocols.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
- Educate associates as the local pet training expert.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must thrive under pressure, stay organized, and flex for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store environment.
