Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Erie, PA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safety and satisfaction for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes proactively in-store, phone, and online; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize sales contributions, and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets immediately, recommend merchandise/services, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in moderate-noise environment.
