Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Evansville, Indiana, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a fast-paced store setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits; maintain all related paperwork.
• Create safe, clean training environments; schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Recognize team contributions, handle pet emergencies, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and embody our Belonging culture.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail/customer-focused experience
• PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in moderate-noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
