Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Fairfax, Virginia, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell our proven curriculum, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This role offers flexibility, pet interaction, and career advancement in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Serve as training expert, recognizing associates for sales contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
