Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. Based in Fairfield, California, you'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, cleanliness, and a safe environment for pets and people.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognizing their sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and exposure to pets/noise.
