Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training programs, educating on benefits and handling inquiries.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Recognize team contributions, assist other departments, and respond to pet health emergencies.
• Recommend merchandise/services and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs are essential. Comfort with animals, moderate noise, and wet/hairy environments required.
