Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering positive reinforcement-based training classes. Uphold PetSmart's mission by educating on our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun experiences that build lifelong pet-owner bonds. This role combines animal passion, customer service, and sales in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions while prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Proactively sell classes, recommend merchandise, and educate on full training benefits.
• Maintain records, schedule sessions, and keep training areas clean/safe; respond to pet health issues promptly.
• Act as training expert for store associates, recognizing top performers.
• Flex between departments, follow policies, and foster an inclusive culture.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
