Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Based in Falls Church, Virginia, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while assisting other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and training outcomes across channels.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain paperwork, educate associates as SME, and recognize sales contributions.
• Ensure safety: handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and keep areas clean.
• Follow policies, participate in team culture, and assist store-wide.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling required.
