Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This dynamic role combines pet expertise, sales, and teamwork in a fun, pet-filled atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training services across channels while addressing concerns.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and training areas; respond to pet health issues promptly.
• Educate store associates as training expert and assist other departments as needed.
• Champion safety, cleanliness, and company policies while recommending merchandise.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Thrive under pressure with strong communication, organization, and pet-handling skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
